Let's leave this Blue Neighbourhood - - Part 1/3, based on Troye Sivan's 'Blue Neighbourhood Trilogy. "We should leave." He thumped. Phil's voice was steady and his Adam's apple bobbed when he swallowed. When I didn't respond he kept talking. "I mean we should leave now. We are about to enter a period in our lives where everyone is unhappy and unsatisfied with themselves. And, I don't really want to be here to witness it." Phil tilted his chin in my direction and fluttered his eyes shut. The boy's eyelashes had always been so long. "What do you mean? Just get up and leave our neighborhood right now?" My eyebrows twisted, That would be ridiculous and I hoped that he knew it. Leaving this city just to avoid a time where people's tempers became short and our friends boomed like firecrackers on the Fourth of July would be impossible, not to mention unnecessary. Phil rolled his eyes. He rearranged his legs so that they were facing me. "Well obviously not, you idiot. Not even we could do that. I'm saying that leaving doesn't need to be evacuating." His arms slumped when I raised my eyebrows in a look. "What if," He suddenly whispered all serious. "We Just left this neighborhood. Emotionally. It feels bad, it feels blue and sad and I don't want that blue-sad person to become me."All Rights Reserved
