Becoming a Holmes (UNDER SEVERE EDITING!!!)

Beatrice Adelia Casey Hamilton was not like others her age. She could read anyone in seconds, manipulate them and leave them without the slightest idea that she had. Her mother always said she took after her father, who Beatrice had never met.
One day, her mother fell ill and was sent to the hospital, where, regardless of their efforts, she passed away. Before she died, she had called Beatrice's father, explained her situation and requested that he take care of Beatrice.
A man appeared at the hospital, sharply dressed in a dark suit and Belstaff Milford coat, to take her to her new home. He was none other than the great Sherlock Holmes.
