Jessica's stomach fluttered, her gaze dropping to his lips then back up again. "I always hated my hair colour growing up." She observed, why did people bully you for being ginger? It was such a weird thing to bully someone for. He shook his head, as though he couldn't believe what she said. "Why?" "Kids are cruel." "Kids are idiots. Your hair is.... inspiring." "Inspiring?" She questioned. "Poets should write about your hair." His finger curled around the strand he was toying with, and the world seemed to melt away. "It catches the light sometimes, like a flame. It's so..." Their eyes meet. And Jess takes in the way his breathing deepens, the way he licks his lips. She steps even closer, basically pressing herself into his arms. "It's so...?" She asks, begging for him to continue. "Beautiful." He breathes. *** Falling in love with your bestfriends girl is never easy. You want her. Crave her. But ultimately, you can't have her. *** This story is about falling in love again after loss. *** Jessica Hughes had the perfect life. She loved to bake and was actually really good at it! She was married to a great man, who she loved dearly, Adam. He was a Doctor in training, and they were so happy together. Until one day, when he was suddenly gone. The life she once cherished was gone. *** Jake was focusing on his music, trying to distract himself from his feelings towards his best friend's girl. Jessica. She was everything he wanted. But ultimately, she was forbidden. Only made more forbidden after his best friend dies. *** Adams death reminds them both how special and fleeting life is. Things changed. It happened slow....Then, it suddenly picked up. It took on a life of it's own. SHIT! The weaker are on top. They seem to have it all. I have become the last thing, I ever wanted. Nothing should be bought or sold. There should never be a price on existing. I'm way too old for this shit....What ever the hell this is meant to be! Will this work out? Or will I just kill her. But. I like her smile. Maybe....We'll take it from there.

"I know it doesn't makes sense, to wait for someone for so long just because I am holding on to his promise that he will come back to me. He might have even forgot about that, but still..." I choked as I am trying not cry. "Here I am, looking forward to see him after 7 long years, expecting him to tell me that he's coming back for me." I told her as tears flowed from my eyes. "Adam was right, I never loved anyone but Luke. It was always been Luke for me even if I have exactly no idea what I am for him now. I was just his past, his highschool sweetheart."

He leans forward, steeling his eyes, daring mine to look at him "For...being a shitty friend. For not picking up a phone. For everything." I chew on my bottom lip holding back the emotional words I want to unleash on him. I don't want him to think he still has that power though so I just shrug. "Why now? I mean I think I have an idea but I'd rather you tell me." He runs a hand over his face wiping at the tension that now etches it and I feel a twinge of guilt. "I know how it looks...And you're right, ok? Whatever you're thinking is probably right, at least partially." "Then tell me what's partially right and what's not." I challenge looking him in the eye this time. He opens his mouth and then closes it. Unlike me, he seems to not have rehearsed any of this. Go figure. "I know I hurt you. It was a dick move and I was immature and...only thinking about my own feelings. I know this. By the time I realized it though...it was kind of too late..."

My friends and I-each of us so different, yet inseparable-believed nothing could ever tear us apart. We were "The Anarchists," a group of misfits who never quite fit the mold, and that was precisely what made us strong. But gunshots shattered the peace, tearing apart the world as we knew it. After, she returns to a world that kept moving without her, drowning in guilt, grief and anger. She's so consumed by what she's lost, she almost misses what Natalie's losing too.

"Mom, not today. I don't even know why you're making me go. Today is dads..." I didn't want to finish and remind her of dads' birthday. My phone kept ringing, I already knew it was Dakota, he's my childhood best friend. "Just take your brother to school, please!" She exclaimed. She looked miserable. I shut the door and smelled the freshly cut grass. I smiled to myself knowing it was my dad's favorite smell. "Alexandria! We're gonna be late, can you stop daydreaming and get in the car." My brother, Cory hollered. He hates to think about dad. He just forgets. I Jeep Wrangler and I started the car, Cory rolled down his windows. "Are we sitting together at lunch today?" Cory asked me. "No I want you to sit with your friends, I'll be alright alone." I told him. "Alright Alex, believe it or not I actually love you. And I love you enough to tell you, you need friends." He admitted. "Have fun. Love you too, Corky." I laughed at the name I gave him when I was a kid. He smiled at me then left into the school. I went on to go to a flower shop. I stopped and got out. I walked in the shop. "Ally, do you have my order, the cars running?" I asked Ally. "Yeah Alex, I have it. Your order for 1 dozen Chocolate Cosmos, 2 dozen Daises, and 1 dozen yellow Roses." "Thanks Ally." I grabbed all the flowers then ran back to the car. I drove to the grave. I threw all my stuff into my bag. I grabbed the flowers and I pulled my bag over my shoulder and got out. I looked around and saw people young and old coming here to see their loved ones. I saw my families graves. Almost my whole family will be buried here. My grandpa always said it was sacred. I put the Cosmos on my dad's grave. The Daises on my grandmothers and the Roses on my grandpas. I talked and talked to them till I pull my pack of cigarettes out of my bag along with a lighter. I put the cancer stick in my mouth and lit it. "You guys are probably really mad right now. Blame peer pressure in 9th grade."

"Forever," he said, "For Always. That's how long we will be best friends." "Not forever," I whisper to myself, a tear falling down my face, "Not for always. For almost." ~~~~ AJ always knew that her best friend Liam would die young. It was inevitable. It was what happened when people got cancer. They died. At Liam's funeral, AJ can't focus and she thinks about why she's sitting where she is. She thinks about cancer. She thinks about Liam. And she remembers. She remembers moments from the past. Moments from before her best friend died. At Liam's funeral, she finally says goodbye.

These are my fucked up poems. Some people say they like them but I don't believe them. Their alright I guess. I'm going to put quotes in here too and my drawings. But I didn't make them up, their from the books I read. This is my first time doing this. So try to be nice on the comments. I am the person that's writing "Suicide note" with my best friend jasmine.(hi jasmine!!)And some of these poems may come out in the story. So hope you like them. Bye!!
