Before anyone gets confused this is not the raiden your thinking of. If you have played metal gear rising then you know what I'm talking about. The Thunder God and the cyborg have very similar names. The thunder gods name is pronounced (radin) but the cyborgs name is pronounced ( riden) this story is about how the 2 warriors get mixed up and uses there strength and powers to save the world. But Is it enough to beat the neitherelm warrior scorpion sent after them? If you are still confused go watch a play through of metal gear rising and mortal kombat. Or play the games yourself , which I highly recommend. Enjoy

Raiden, the protector of Earthrealm, along with the Elder Gods stopped Shinnok. Locked him up in his own amulet. Others followed in Shinnok's footsteps, like Outworld's emperor Shao Kahn, who was obsessed with conquering realms. So the Elder Gods began the Mortal Kombat tournaments as a way to even the odds... give Earthrealm a chance. For generations, Shao Kahn followed the Elder Gods' rules. The war moved to the arena, where he sent his toughest fighters to challenge Raiden's greatest defenders in Mortal Kombat. The rules were clear, if Shao Kahn won ten tournaments in a row, he won.
