Anomaly

The world is in ruins. The wrecked remains of a concrete, metal and technological jungle… ruled by a corrupt Empire, an evil emperor at its head.

From the rubble of the broken world, rose a subspecies of human, a gene mutation caused by radiation. This subspecies is human enough, only they are gifted with abilities none other could possess. They are called Anomalies. I, Exodus Zedd, am an Anomaly.

I am also on the run from the Empire. An ex military general, I quit, realising the stupidity of staying.

I had crossed a vast and dangerous ocean, risking death to get to one of the last places on this broken planet that still grew trees and harboured animals. The only reason this place remained untouched by the dirty hands of the Empire was because of the dark rumours that surrounded it. It was said that any man who entered the forest was swallowed up by the ever-shifting trees or giant man-eating beasts that hid, jumping from shadow to shadow, laying patiently in wait for their next victim.

But what they say isn't always true....
