"all right you mangy fur ball" Regina grunted, getting up and letting the pup roll on its side.
"Scram! Go! Shoo!" But the pup just looked at her, tilting his head slightly to the side.
"Shoo?" He repeated.
"Yeah! Shoo! Get outa here!" She leaped towards him threateningly and gave him a stern look.
The pup just stared at her with his head tilted. Then he began to jump around her playfully, wagging his fluffy tail.
"Shoo! Shoo! Shoo!" He barked. 
Regina's eye twitched with annoyance as the pup barked around her. 
"JUST GET OUT OF HERE!" she squeaked.
The pup paused and tilted his head again.
"Shoo?" He said.
"Yeah pup go shoo! now!" 
"SHOOO!" He howled and jumped around again.
"NO NO NO NO! YOU! SHOO!" Regina growled, putting her paws up trying to stop him from bouncing around. 
"YooShooeh?" He barked, tilting his head to the other side. 
"No, you, Shoo"
He then crouched to the ground, took a deep breath then will all his might he leapt into the air and howled.
"YOOOSHOOOEEEEH!!!" 
Regina gave up and flopped down on the ground while the pup bounced around her squealing "Yooshooeh" a thousand times. Suddenly the air's scent changed, Regina could smell the faint scent of water. The humidity in the air began to slightly rise and the sky became dark with giant low clouds that seemed to be rolling. A thunderstorm. . . Sure enough she could hear a giant boom in the distance followed by the signature crack of lightning and the sky ignited briefly in a white glow. The pup stopped squealing "yooshooeh" and quickly fled behind Regina, cowering behind her. 
"Your such a ba-" Regina stopped herself, realizing she was just about to call a pup a baby. She sighed and turned to the pup.
"Okay you big furball. Let's go find a shelter to keep out of the rain."Tous Droits Réservés

Torrents of rain pelted down onto the colourfully lit city. The city lights were on and people walked hurriedly through the rain. Cars whizzed past to get home before rush hour. The lamps lit the streets strongly through the rain creating a nice warm atmosphere in the cold weather. Umbrellas bobbed over people's heads, trying to avoid hitting other people in the big crowds. The city buzzed with late night activity amidst the pouring rain. The whole place looked lively, even in the rain. But somewhere behind the wet houses and in the dirtiest part of the city, in a muddy, grimy alleyway, a little dog lay shivering on the cold wet floor. Soon, he was lying on a puddle of water, the open bins on each side of him were getting flooded and garbage started to fall out. An old lamp dimly lit the small garbage alley. It soon fizzled out and all went dark. Still, the dog lay there on the floor. Fire Stairs from the side of the house led down to the alley but no one used it unless they needed to throw things away. The garbage truck almost never came to this street and even less to the alley leaving it with a strong horrid smell and overflowing garbage bins. Suddenly, the small dirty window at the top of the fire stair lit up faintly. The door knob was turned and a grubby little boy was pushed out pouting. The door slammed shut behind him. The little boy crossed his arms and stood still under the strong rain. He scrunched his eyes up and realised it was a bedraggled dog.

I shuddered. It had never been so dark, nor so quiet before. There was always the light of the moon to guide me. The sound of the wind against the trees. I shook the thought from my mind and continued further into the wood. Then I saw it. A white light spread across the ground in front of me. The clouds had parted from where they were, revealing the moon at its fullest. I stared in awe. It had never been so bright. The ambiance began to come back. The wind began to dance with the trees. I closed my eyes. The scent of oak filled my nose and exhaled through my mouth. The aroma filled me with exhilaration. It filled me with something I couldn't explain. I felt something I hadn't felt in a long time. Although it was something I wasn't used to feeling, I craved it deeply. I felt happy. I felt as if nothing else mattered than this moment. I opened my eyes. Everything seemed clearer. I could see the particles of dust flying in the beam of light that shone around me. I wanted to stay here for longer. I wanted this moment to last forever. Until I saw the wolf. It was hidden among the fold of trees behind me. It stared at me in aggravation. It's brows furrowed in my direction. It's face, livid with anger, revealed a set of unpleasant and sharp teeth. It began to move slightly forward. The wolf bounded towards me. It happened so quickly I had no time to react. It's limbs outstretched. It's teeth bared. My body, paralyzed from fear, refused to move. My lip quivered, urged to call for help, but no help would come. I was too deep into the woods. No one would hear my screams. The thought was soon interrupted by the wolf's teeth digging into my side.

COMPLETED STORY The agony is like nothing I have ever felt before, I slide in and out of consciousness, I feel the strange sway of the two legged's walk as I am being carried through the woods, I wish to call out to my mate but I am weakened by the torments cast upon me. I have been laid down in the cold snow and my tormenter is digging in the frozen earth, I once again lose consciousness. The next time my eyes flutter open I have cold snow mixed with frozen dirt being thrown on my throbbing frame. I'm not sure what is going on. I'm freezing, hurt, and confused. I rouse to strange smells that are new to me, I'm colder than ever and something is definitely missing. I attempt to stand but immediately fall onto a fur covered ground, wait, fur... Where is my fur?!? Where did my tail go? Why do my paws look bare and have moving sticks coming out of them? Who stretched my legs out? What in tarnation happened to my fur? I guess that would explain why I'm cold. I begin to take in my surroundings, I am in a dead tree shelter but it looks completely different, there is a fire crackling near me but it does little to warm my bare skin, I'm startled by the sound of laughter, I look over and see a two legged is staring at me with a hint of humor in his eye. "You are very confused. I found you almost dead in a non descent grave. You were shot and bruised. I brought you here and made some... changes. It was the only way I could save you." The stranger explains. I don't really understand what he is saying, all I know is I want my fur back.

I sent a silent prayer that the bramble bush would deter them and that they would not realize just how shallow this burrow was. I waited anxiously.
