Elizabeth has found herself in deep trouble and now her 15 year old life is about to be altered completely. Now she's failing to accept responsibility for her actions and hides her secret from her family, friends, and her boyfriend, Grant. But, she can't hide it forever and time is closing in on her... Elizabeth felt panic grip her throat, making it near impossible to talk. She remained quiet as her face flushed bright red. Please, don't make me say it. Please! She looked down at her hands fidgeting in her lap. She picked at a hangnail on her thumb until it started bleeding. She knew her time was up, it was time to tell someone, it was time to tell her mom. "Honey?" concern laced in Laura's voice. She looked over a Libby briefly as she drove, watching for any reaction from her young daughter. Libby continued looking down at her slender hands, feeling tears prick at her eyes. "Please don't make me say it," she whispered. "Say what, babe?" she asked, with more concern evident in her tone. Libby paused for and uncomfortably long time, tears now falling down her beet red cheeks. "I'm having a baby," she said, barely audible. **Contains mature topics and ideas** This is a slow moving story.

I frowned, thrown off "Do i...remember?" "Do you remember..." she starts but her voice falters. She glances down at the sand, biting her lip debating whether to even continue. She then takes a shaky breath and finally looks up. Eyes locking with mine " do you even remember how you got it?" Her question hits me like a slap. I open my mouth, then close it, my brows furrowing as I force my brain to rewind. How did I get it? Nothing. Not a single clear memory. She steps closer, her voice trembling, but the edge of anger sharpening her words. "Or when? Or where? Or for what reason? Or what it even means?!" I flinch at her tone, but I can't answer her. I try. God, I try.. I look down at the sand beneath my feet, forcing myself to dig through every memory, every hazy night out, every stupid decision I might've made-but nothing. Not a single moment of how I got it surfaced. I let out a frustrated breath and rake a hand through my hair, feeling the panic rise like bile in my throat. When I finally lift my head to speak, Ashley's already staring at me, and I can tell-she knows my answer before I say a word. "You don't remember," she says softly, nodding like she expected it all along. __________________________________________ Crazy thing happened...Three years ago, a tragic accident left Ashley scarred and shattered.
