{FINISHED} Y/n is invisible. Yes, she is solid and physically there. For her whole life, she's been the quiet girl in the shadows. She has to distance herself to hide a dark secret. Her psychic powers limit her life options. Yes- powers, the extent of them unknown not to mention virtually uncontrollable. After a disaster at her old school, she is left with trust issues and a controversy. Her main goal is to get through life unnoticed, and after moving to PK Academy, it has seemed to work. When another psychic is added to the equation, things start to get messy. Now she has a group of morons pushing to be her friend and an odd alien boy provoking her to spill her secrets. Kusuo Saiki has always struggled with blending in. When he sees a new girl, unreadable, disappearing into the shadows, he must know her secrets. He can tell there's something different about her, and as he notices, others do too. {first person pov + saiki k's pov/ switched each chap} italics= thoughts italics + quotes= telepathic communication He wants to get closer, but she is set on staying hidden. Interest grows between them... ***I do not own the characters this book except for the female pov. Ultimately they reach their goal, and the truth is revealed ... Author's note: I've written this book, as a sort of biography set in a fantastical realm. It is a description of my mental illness, which is a schizoaffective disorder, and the state of mind the condition puts me in. The way I've chosen to describe this is the best way I can articulate how I feel in certain situations. I describe the period of time I was in University studying Physics & Astronomy, up through to the completion of my MSc in computational astrophysics. How will they finish their year in COFL academy (Based at real people) Time moves fast like the speed of light, the students looking at each other's eyes... "How did we get here?". Anything can happen when a person is full of anger and guilt, shadowed by their own ego...will you invite them to be your friend? Or fight them like a foe? [2023 NOTE] Have you ever grown up? I had my first experience last month and it was truly disappointing and I would argue life changing -- I no longer see the average grown adult with the same respect as I did before writing this fic. And honestly, my impression of the community prior to writing this fic, fairly intelligent, and they really were a cross section of the general public. But as when I started writing this fic, I was truly astonished at my writing and how impressive my brain power is. And I can sense how that experience has seeped into my psyche and is polluting my ability to trust people, and I have become more suspicious of the true motivations of those around me. I literally cannot tell if I was just naive before and am more realistic now, or if I was realistic before and have become cynical now. This does not define my political views, and who I am today.
