Dick Grayson had grown up as the Boy Wonder, and yet when he finally left the job he found himself seeking something. He tried University, tried travelling, tried getting a job. But none of it felt right to him. And yet a little holiday away from the harsh streets of Blüdhaven appears to be all he and his friends needed to clear their heads. But since when has holidaying ever been so simple for a vigilante?

I own nothing in Nightwing, The Flash or Supergirl so credit goes to the respective owners; as does the picture credit, I just editted it.

Dick Grayson's life has never been easy, but he'd like to think it's been going better lately. He's been operating mainly out of Gotham again for almost a year, and has been in a steady relationship for just over. He knows where he stands with crime-fighting, and the family is all on pretty good terms, considering. Things are really going pretty well. Unfortunately, the balance doesn't last long, and old horrors from Dick's past end up dredged up alongside new ones. This is a story about love and family, but equally so about trauma and healing from it. Please heed the warnings in the preface. ______________________________________________ •Written May 2019 ̶ October 2020• [Complete, 97k words] Thank you to @violenttulips for the endless support and feedback! ______________________________________________ ______________________________________________ (Art featured on cover by FightClubFIEND via DeviantArt; 'Night Wing Emblem'.
