Growing up, Becca Peters and Jacob Samuels were inseparable. Their families were friends, they went to the same school, they were next-door-neighbors, and their bedrooms were positioned directly across from each others. However, before they graduate from middle school, everything changes.
Jacob earns himself a dangerous reputation as the school bad boy, taking on the life of a cage fighter, while Becca is just Becca. She's not a nerd, but she's in all honor-level classes. She's not a cheerleader, but she's on the school's cross country and track teams. She's not ridiculously popular, but she has a few close friends.
With their new personalities, Becca and Jacob don't talk anymore in high school. But what happens when their parents decide to vacation together and they're stuck spending their summer in the same house? True colors are shown, secrets are revealed, and the past just doesn't seem like the past anymore.
Kiana's life has just gone from bad to worse. She is suddenly moving across country to live with her mom's new fiance who she hates. Stuck in a new place, can she find a way to make this new thing work.
Jacob is an all around bad-boy. He smokes, parties, and sleeps around, but his parents have had enough. So they ship him off to live with him aunt. there he meets Kiana.
