Four years ago, Zane parted ways with Locke and that should have been the end of it.

They had expected it to be the end of it.

A chance meeting in America changed that however. With four years separating them, they both have to face that fact that things have changed around them.

But have things truly changed between them?

With only a week before they may be forced to separate again, just how far are they willing to go?

Book 3 of HomeLess Growing up in a family was what most kids who didn't have one, would dream about. As he got older, however, A.J. found himself dreaming about the same thing... yet he had a family. He'd been loved by that family as a child, but as he grew, their attention slowly shifted to his younger brother. He came to understand that his adoptive parents would focus a little more on their actual genetic child, but he wasn't prepared to deal with how quickly he lost everything he had cherished. The packed lunches stopped coming when he turned ten. Eleven, the birthday parties ceased. At fourteen, his younger brother was 'too old' to have to share his room, so A.J. was moved to the small laundry room. At sixteen, there were no more 'I love you' or 'have a good day'. At seventeen, the lunch money stopped and the hateful glares started. Then the angry words. Everything he did was wrong. The dishes weren't clean. The laundry wasn't folded right. By the time he finally graduated, a few days after his nineteenth birthday, there was no more attention of any sort. They ignored him, except to tell him that his chores weren't done well enough and that he didn't deserve to eat until they were. A.J., desperate for some sort of attention, and honestly starving, tried one last thing to get them to at least show so semblance of caring, even if it was negative. He told them that he was gay. At nineteen, only a few days after his graduation, A.J. was kicked out of his home with an empty stomach, and an empty heart.

#1 LGBTQ, GAY, BxB, BOYLOVE, HOMOEROTIC, & more || Take a trip back to the twenty-teens when Jason and Johnny, the high school football team's star players, come out on Facebook as gay lovers. All hell breaks loose in their small Appalachian town as the boys' lives, and those of some of their teammates who come out to them, are plunged into scrutiny and chaos as they struggle to be their authentic selves in a culture-war society that still demands they do not. Relive with 'Jacey' the amazing week in the summer of 2015 when they go from popular local heroes to the very center of the biggest scandal ever to hit town, having to face homophobic attacks, jealous rivals, an attempt on their lives, unexpected horrors from the Deep Web, and eventually ... murder, all while on their way to becoming nationwide Pride celebs via their social media 'Coming Out'. Praised by readers for its characters, realism, sensuous love scenes, and its strong subtext of queer theory, the book has been highly successful on several online sites. First posted onto Wattpad in 2016 and still going strong now in 2024, it has become an online LGBTQ classic. Copyright 2016, 2017, 2018 by Sanchez Mariano. All rights reserved. "Listen, I've got a proposition for you," Azure's firm voice flew across the soft wind of the graveyard, "something mutually beneficial." Elliot stepped back slightly, "I doubt that." Azure stepped closer and the street light flickered; he then whispered, it was soft, like the fall of dead leaves, "I can help you keep your scholarship. Don't you want to keep your dream a reality?" Elliot narrowed his eyes, "Did you do a background check on me?" "That doesn't answer my question." "And that didn't answer mine." (Abridged) -/- Life had never been fair to Elliot. After barely managing to scrape by, he somehow made it to his junior year at Central Haven, one of the most prestigious preparatory high schools in the country. He was prepared for another two tiresome years of high school, but the future has other plans for him. The start of the school year brings with it the infamous Central Haven Merit Project. Unfortunately, it's done in pairs this year. Even worse, he's stuck with Azure, notorious for his carefree and flippant demeanor. His living situation gets worse and his scholarship is at risk. Azure notices Elliot's struggles and the two make a deal. Surely Azure's up to something, but what? Regardless, Elliot isn't in a position to refuse. ...Perhaps they'll find and lose Liberation. -/- If you're unsure about this reading this story, I hope you'll at least stick around to chapter 7 when the story begins ramping up. This story is a slow burn, enemies to friends to lovers. Please do not take this story at surface value as there is a lot of subtext. Be aware: this story can be extremely subtle. The story will delve into various topics with social commentary so if you want a nuanced modern romance story, I highly suggest you give this story a try. Updates will come on Fridays at 4 p.m. (PST) with most months having at least one update. The ending is planned so don't worry about the story being incomplete.
