My name is Hazel Crow. Next week is the school talent show, it's a shame I won't be going though. Instead I'm stuck in a hospital, in a coma with the biggest decision. Join my mom and pa in death, or stay with my little brother on earth. My brother and I are the only ones left. Everyone else died, if I stay I'll be forced into the foster system because nobody can care for us, why would they want two kids who saw their parents die? 
And I mean do you know how many siblings are split up in the foster system? I don't want to be separated from my brother... EVER! 

All I want is to wake up, PLEASE! Let me wake up.

He growl his eyes snapping from dragon to cat then wolf. "Witch" I say he growls and picks my jaw up. I look at him and he drops me. "Who are you." I say he smiles "I am a the shifter king. And now my little human mate, you are mine" he growls picking me up.

I'm just lying here in stillness and darkness wondering why. Why did this have to happen to my mom? We have nothing we can't even afford a house.
