Maddie Ziegler could hear the world around her but she couldn't respond. She couldn't. If she tried it just wouldn't work. Words wouldn't "work". She tried but words just didn't seem to come out. She could hear but she couldn't respond. She just wanted to scream to even it all out. So she kept a journal, and it was found by the family of the girl twenty years after she passed away. This has never been read until now. What you hold in your hands is a journal written before she passed because of her illness. And if she could speak..this is what she would say.
