One Step At A Time

After breakfast we all went back to our rooms but for me this morning was roommate day. It was the day i was getting someone in my room. I closed the door and i turned off all the lights and closed the sade sitting on the floor in the corner. My roommate walks in. They turn on the light the nurses see and they get alittle worried and check up on me while the other child gets their bed. They leave and the other person turns the light back off and closes the shade and knels in front of me. "Hey" i hear such a gentle voice and i feel a warm hand i flinch but also i crave the warmth. "Hey you're freezing. Can i please help you? I promise I wont hurt you." I look up to see that its Hale. I shake my head and regretfully pull away from her warmth.
