We had ten days -- ten days to prepare for what we knew could be our last few days. We were put in an arena to fight each other; to the death. First, the wooden wall keeping us from the electric wall will be burned down, and then the electric wall will be turned off and taken down, leaving us completely unprotected and free to do whatever we'd like with the other teams. You see, the Walls was an idea at first, before each territory leader agreed on it. They thought it'd keep the peace and quiet neutral between each territory. But, they were wrong. The Walls just made everyone furious; more than they actually were. People were now, instead of being picked out of the group, volunteering to go into the games just so that they could kill each other. - Warning, Strong Language and Mild Violence -

In a Panem that followed a history different from what we know. In such a world, tributes are pulled from the same pool, and so in addition to being reaped, sometimes you just know you don't have a chance; two boys from District 2 would plow through the rest, and all you can do is cry. ---------------------------------------------------------- She lived in 12 for generations of her family, but not in the filth, nor was she in a family of victors. No. She was the child of peacekeepers; she was trained to fight, in special schools for them, and even her name was only once in the reaping bowl as she grew, no matter what she did. People like her would be 12's future peacekeepers, raised and trained on site for generations of their families to be sure they know all there is to know about the district they'll keep in check. ---------------------------------------------------------- She grew up in 12, in the poorest part of 12. She'd hunt for her family with her friend and would exchange some wild game with the on-and-off boyfriend she had, son of the baker, or her best friend. Her life was hard. And so she watched with envy those kids who got fed for nothing, taught to handle themselves so that in the future they could control them. ------------------------------------------------------- How will life turn out if two of these people get to meet under different lights, in the 74th arena of the Hunger Games? ----------------------------------------------------------- Other Hunger Games books: Forest Fire (Johanna Mason X F.OC) - Completed Shake Plushy (Enobaria X F.OC) - Completed Stone & Lumber (Johanna Mason X F.OC) - Completed Splinter (??? X F.OC) - Published -------------------------------------- I HAVE NO MONEY!!! Stop offering me to draw me comics of my stuff, I cannot pay you...
