Connor Smith is the little brother to Elmhurst's golden boy, Jack.  They were by all means completely opposite - Jack was an all-star athlete and a lady's man while Connor was introverted and never really told anyone that he was interested in boys not girls.

Then there's Jeremy, who was tired of being in Jack's shadow when it came to popularity and girls always one step slower so he blackmails a younger member of the football to help him ruin Connor's life since he couldn't get his hands on Jack.

After everything begins to fall apart for Connor he meets the school's bad boy, Trent Davies, who comforts him and shows him that it's possible to rise above the rumors, hold his head high and still be happy.  Meanwhile the two explore the feelings growing between them.
