With or without someone there to protect her. *Note: I do not own any characters mentioned in AMC's The Walking Dead **Double Note: This story is set a while after season 3 of the show. It may include a few events that happened on the show, but they will be set in the past and a character will be telling about them. This story will not follow season four and up. ***Triple Note: (wow Julia stop writing notes) I'm ignoring the part of the season 3 finale (SPOILERS!) where all of those Woodbury people come into the prison. I don't think that was a good plot and it's my book soooo... ;]

Lauren learned early on how to take care of herself no matter the cost, or who's around once she realized she'd always be alone... or so she thought. she lived on the run constantly looking over her shoulder, she came across groups but they never lasted and died and always left her alone. Lauren just went where the day took her with only 2 objectives on her mind; food and water. As her path stretches, things become more complicated and she finds that food, water and shelter are the last things on her mind. This story tells Lauren's journey before she met the infamous rick grimes and what she has to go through before she crosses their path and it all leads up to their big meeting on the rail road tracks, a spy and a cure. Will she ever find her sister? Lauren is in her worse state of mind after losing everything she's ever loved and gets to meet Rick in his scariest state of survival also, relating to him more than anyone else in the group having done the same things as Rick to survive at all costs.
