Body positivity is important. For everyone. However, this detail is often lost in the Weight Parade of people that will condemn the thin in order to make others happy. This poem is to relate with those that feel like body positivity doesn't include them. If you like this poem you may also be interested in my poem 'Paper Girls'.

Losing weight was supposed to magically turn Maya Tanner's life around. It was supposed to bring her the happiness and peace of mind she had lost many years ago, but tarting senior year skinnier than she has ever been only seemed to isolate her more. Between fighting old demons and rekindling past love, her life didn't become any less complicated. 《Inspired by Blythe Baird's poem 'When The Fat Girl Gets Skinny'》 Warnings: Bullying, Sexual Assault, Fat Shaming
