A Vampire's Touch
My name is Grace Shield and my life is not normal. Vampire's have been taking over the city. They murdered and drained my family's blood in front of my very eyes. They captured me and took me to their leader. Lets just say that me and the leader aren't on good terms, I despise vampires. The leader has been doing experiments on me, and he put angel blood in me. So now if I turn into a vampire, I'll be more stronger and powerful. Basically I'll be able to do anything, that's why the leader wants to marry me. And to top it off, every vampire wants me. He's gonna do a ceremony, get married to me and turn me into a vampire in front of his pack. I also found out a family secret that can help me defend myself. I thought all vampires were the same, but when I met Ethan the leaders son, I had second thoughts. Is he actually different? Or is he playing with me? It's as if just a vampire's touch can kill you. I never believed it would end like this. I was just watching Netflix when the power went out, then before I knew it everyone was screaming, then the school began to shake and fell to the ground. Only three kids in my entire school were spared, four if you count me. I found a group of people heading to the east coast for a boat trip to a supposed safe haven in India. They died of disease days later. I found their bodies by the river. But I guess this is my life now, surviving with a scared boy, a pair of twins and trying to make it to the next day. My name is Cassy woods I am 16, I have always been the quiet one, avoiding the spotlight, trying my best to stay out of trouble. Now in a world devastated by death and disease thats the best thing to do. ~~~~~~~~~~ Two years ago a disease broke out, killing people.. however it didn't stop there it brought the dead back..... But they weren't the same, they killed and ate anything that moved. The government decided to bomb the cities most infected to slow the spread, but that just made things so much worse. That's not what I fear though, what I fear most is the people who are left. The people we were are gone, and people will do anything it takes to survive.. if there is one thing I would tell the old me it's fight the dead... but fear the living. Oh, what a wonderful time to be alive! Medical care is better than ever, the number of homeless has dropped dramatically, and war hasn't been sparked for five glorious years. But. Oh, of course there's a but! Did you truly expect this to be a story about a utopia? (Especially seeing how it's written by ME, of all people.)
