Jack Barakat was an average teen; he wasn't unpopular but he certainly wasn't popular. One day, one of his close friends, Zack, introduced him into someone named Snake. Snake then introduced Jack into heroin. Ever since that one dosage, Jack has been trying out new drugs. Then, Alex Gaskarth moved down to Baltimore. Alex had many classes with Jack which eventually made them best friends. Alex didn't know about Jack's addiction until he witnessed Jack shove a needle into his arm. Alex tried to help him break the addiction, but in the process fell in love. Somehow, Jack's family found out about the drug addiction. They decided to bring Jack to therapy, leaving Alex behind in the dust.
