One year after the rebellion. One year after the war. Three years since the last Hunger Games.
What president Coin talked about before president Corolianus Snow's execution became real. The Symbolic Hunger Games.
Katniss and Peeta found their way back to eachother and found solace in each other's losses.

Now Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark have to take the train. For the last time to the Capitol to be mentors for President Snow's granddaughter, Pearl Snow and her cousin, Rock Snow. 
But, since the most of the victors died in the war, there's not enough mentors for the kids. Which means voluenteers.
Gale, decides to jump on the train for the first time, to try get Katniss back.

Authors Note: I tried to make this story as book accurate as possible, but of course with their being a new leading character added, the story will not follow it directly. I did this on purpose. There are also head canons in this because of another character. Most important, this is a lesbian based fan fiction. I am not claiming Katniss's sexuality whatsoever, in fact, in the story, it is obvious that the insert character's love is completely one sided. This story can take on some adult themes and language, like the original trilogy does, so please be aware of that.
