Wren Bell thought she would have an easy year. She thought it was a sign when her father told her that they wouldn't continue their gypsy life, they would finally for the first time in years be settling in one place. She thought that finally she could call a house a home, but never did she think that she would be returning to Chrysanthemum, the city in which her father grew up, the city that held so many secrets for Wren to unfold.
The eighteen year old thought she would be discovering herself, but never did she believe she would be discovering the heritage she belonged to, the one dating back to the nineteenth century. Instead of focusing on senior research projects and high school dances, Wren will have to focus on finishing the deeds of her ancestors and finishing what was started hundred of years ago, because the fate of Chrysanthemum, the fate of mankind, rests in the hands of Wren Bell, a teenage witch now discovering her powers for the first time in her life.
What will she do when faced with the most difficult decisions of her life? What will she do when fate doesn't seem appealing, and destiny seems to be the last thing she wants to come true?
