She stood on the rooftops, a black silhouette against the late afternoon sky, her eyes fixed on the houses below her. Jet black hair loose and eyes bearing deadly determination, she stared at one house in particular.
That one house, where the girl was cooking with her mum.
She tried to memorise the girl's features. Roughly fourteen or fifteen, with masses of black curls tied back into a ponytail. Eyes fixed on the pan of cooking fish. Her lips curved up in a grin.
After a minute, when the girl's face was engraved in her memory, she nodded to herself.
Then a twist, a jump, and she was gone.

Only crow members can get crow tattoos and only descendants of the original crow can have the green eye. By tattoo that's on my lower back has a red eye. The red eye means non blood related member. But I have a smaller one with a blue eye beside it. The blue eye means leader. When California's biggest secret is discovered by her new boyfriend will she be able to keep her past and family secret the secret she wants it to be?
