Consequences VI : All She Expected to Find

Consequences - the game where we write a short story by passing it around a table. Each person takes it in turns to write a line. To make it more interesting, they can only see the one line before theirs. Everything else, including the opening line, is hidden until the paper is unfolded and the story revealed.

Since this was our first session of the semester (Re-Freshers Week, hence the confectionary-inspired colour scheme), the game was pretty theme-lite. Anything goes - with just the initial prompt of "Of all the things she expected to find, _____________ was at the bottom of the list."
