Kessa Winston has and will always be what is classed in society as – the nerd. High school hasn’t been a changing point, same as middle school, and same as life. She is everything in a nerd, from awkward to clumsy, from overly smart to stupid decisions, but most of all she is shy. She lurks in the corners like the shadows that never leave yet are always there. What is surprising about Kessa is that despite this personality that even if she tried to change she couldn’t, she comes from a family of importance, one that certainly does not cower into corners hoping to go unnoticed. Nope, the Winston family are known for their money, power, looks but most of all, Sport.
This quality is found absolutely nowhere and I mean NOWHERE in Kessa’s personality. In fact sport is the bane of her life. She can please her parents with every grade she gets, with every achievement notified by her teachers except for sport. Sport is what her parents crave the most for their daughter, as they have for her twin sister, three other sisters and four brothers. They all have seemed to have attained a talent in sport, all of them with the exception of Kessa.
Let’s pause from Kessa for a minute and look at the importance of a quarterback, receiver and a running back. Gods of football, champions among men and sensations to the female population are three boys belonging to these important positions. Everett O’Conner, Tyson Davante and Asher Cobbs.
Her decision finds herself entangled in the lives of these three boys who most definitely have noticed Kessa. However, not only have they noticed her, but they want her in on their game. Will she resist and deny, deny, deny? Or is it inevitable like everyone else that she will fall for the three and fall like a domino?
