Four years prior to the Rookie Nine's graduation, Kōryū Taniko woke up in the hospital of the Village Hidden in the Leaves. With zero recollection of who she was and not a possession to her name, Sarutobi Hiruzen told her one thing: Konohagakure is her home now.
From then on out, things are difficult. Adapting to life without an identity took an effect on Taniko, creating insecurities and eventually; trouble. When her only family member refuses to mention anything about her past, she's stuck with blind goals and false values. That is, until her cards are forced to play themselves.
While her body begins to remember who she was, a man Taniko has sworn she met before suddenly appears and further adds to an onslaught of questions that trace back to her origin. Confused and scared, she can only fearfully accept the changes that are occurring. Slowly but surely, the truth is coming out and Taniko isn't particularly sure if she can handle it.
