''Gravity is everywhere. We stand, we climb, we follow it. Until you're falling. And I don't mean regular falling. I mean falling up. Up and out. Out and over.
Normal people, fall forward or backward, but either way they're going down. Some are already down. Not many people start down. But those very few who do fall out.
I am one who Falls Out.''

13 year old Esme-Wren Deianira Wings is a lovable determined orphan who's story is already on the bottom when she's adopted by Mr. Ternent, the towns mad-man. As life goes along, Esme-Wren finds no matter where you start, life finds a path to drag you down. In all her life she's told things will get better, but I suppose some people are just born to suffer.
