Amy Martins is your average 15-year-old girl: she spends way too much time messing around with her best friends instead of studying and she thinks she's got it all worked out. She's going to get through school, college, university and get a nondescript job that isn't outstanding but means that she gets by just fine. She'll keep her best friend, Gemma, for her whole life and they'll have weddings together and then they'll have kids that call them Auntie. Oh, and her perfect guy happens to be her other best friend, Luke, a nice, uncomplicated guy who doesn't seem to have any interest in other girls. Everything is going according to plan.

At least, it was before Marigold arrived. Now everything has been turned upside down and Amy is thrown into a crazy whirlwind where everything she thought she knew is wrong and every plan she ever had is torn apart at the seams.

Now, trying to make new friends and piece together new dreams, Amy tries to regain everything she lost to this mystery girl...
