"Well, silly girl, keep your eyes up! Didn't you hear Paris was the city of love?"
Andromeda Clements is a doormat. Not technically speaking, that is, but in every sense of the word metaphorically. She's not very outspoken, she doesn't talk much, and when she does it seems that nine out of ten times she's apologizing for something that probably isn't her fault.
But that's just how she was raised, Andromeda can't help her past any more than she already has-- Emancipation, a move to Paris, a new apartment, a new job, and a new school. All Andromeda can do to let go of her past is hope that Paris gives her the fresh start she's looking for. Whether that fresh start begins with the mysterious choker she receives as a gift from the old man she helped after work one day, she has no clue-- but what she does know is Lapin De'Lune is the person she can never be-- cute, outgoing, and not afraid to speak up.
How was she ever going to be able to fill superhero shoes when she can barely hold ground in her own? And why are people only suddenly interested in speaking to Andromeda after Adrien Agreste acknowledges her existence? Is this really what Paris was like?
The only thing close to the 'City of Love' she experiences is the feeling she gets around Chat Noir, the sun to her moon. How could she ever be happy falling for a guy who's true identity would never be known to her? And would he ever love her if he knew who she truly was?
Who was most important, who she was before Andromeda? The person she is now? Or the person Lapin De'Lune allowed her to become?
Chat Noir's identity has been revealed in the worst possible way imaginable - In front of a nation-wide broadcast crew while facing an Akuma. His life is shaken dramatically, nothing can be the same again, and there is only one source of stability for both Adrien Agreste and Chat Noir now. Meanwhile, Marinette has to come to terms that the person she's admired and her occasionally irritating but trustworthy partner, are one in the same, all while reeling from visits from a certain cat she's grown particularly fond of.
Primarily MariChat and Adrienette (It's all the same ship anyway, lets be honest here).
First Marichat/Adrienette fanfic, so let me know any criticisms that you may have.
Rated T for language and possible suggestive scenes.
