Balita sa kanilang bayan ay meron na raw itong sariling pamilya. Sa umaga siya pumapasok at sa gabi naman ay nag ta trabaho kay Manang Dellia na may ari ng karinderya malapit sa kanilang eskwelahan. Kauuwi niya lang galing sa trabaho ng makatanggap siya ng sulat sa isa sa mga pinag kakautangan ng kaniyang papa. Nakasaad dito na kapag nag pakasal siya rito ay tutulungan silang maka ahon sa hirap at magiging bayad na ang utang nila. Will she accept the proposal?
