Nicole moved to small town Athena, Oregon over a year ago and everybody has forgotten about her except her small group of friends. Even that's not saying much. That all starts to change when she became best friends with Allison.

Alex grew up in Athena, Oregon and is the star athlete playing every sport he can. He is also extremely brilliant but doesn't show it and plays dumb. Alex typically gets every girl he wants but he can't seem to get Nicole.
