Currently, the world holds a dark truth. Mages secretly run the world while humans think that magic is just a fairytale.
Darnell Samuels is ready for summer vacation when his mysterious aunt, who can make dark rain clouds appear at will, invites him to an island in the Philippines for two weeks. Little does he know that normal school life will be a thing of the past and storybook creatures will be a new dangerous reality.
In an arena set up by mages with innocent lives at stake, Darnell is named the "Human Piece" and the rules are that only three pieces may survive in a competition featuring different magical beings. Darnell's only real hope to stay alive is by finding and making an alliance with the Fairy Piece, an even weaker creature than the human. Why would his own aunt throw him in such a predicament where survival is slim? As the darkness of magic begins to be uncovered, 15 year old Darnell will never be the same.

Writer: "is that really the right way to make a description?" Nakajima: *sigh* There is a mainland with 13 state under a flag named Melloyern. These all 13 state have it's very own holy crystal that bless the state individually. But, the crystal contains powerful amount of mana that makes every single person in Melloyern going for it. A group of magician called Denials were up to collect all of the crystal to keep them safe from wrong hands. There is a lot of hindrance in their path such as the Kingdom of Melloyern itself is turning against these guys. Still there are more. Can they survive? it's up to them to decide.
