Gretel has spent the last five years doing what she knows best- killing. Ever since she found out about the other world; the one that mixes with her own, she's been hiding in the darkness of plain sight. She can't forget her past no matter how far she tries to run away from it. They only things that kept her from loosing herself to insanity is her team: Fred, Isiah, Alexander, and Alec.
