Kasey has never been much of a socialist. She's never really needed
friends. She has her mom and two drumsticks, what else could she
possibly need to be happy? But now Kasey slowly is starting to realize
that maybe she can't do everything alone.
Remi can't sit still. He's always up and running, maybe from his huge
family. He isn't sure what to call home anymore. Life's a big joke to
him, and there's nothing to worry about. But what will he do when he
meets the people that finally make him want to slow down for just a
moment?
Cirrus is used to taking care of herself. Her mom left when she was
nine, and her dad is working full-time. She spends all her time
working to please her dad, and that means she never has time for a
real life. Which doesn't bother Cirrus. She's used to everything this
way, and doesn't like change. Until she meets the one person that
lives for being different, and the people that define change in
themselves.
Ava has everything. A perfect house, perfect clothes, and a perfect
place among her class: on top. But Ava's stuck with unwanted company,
and a job with a bunch of "freaks", and nothing is going how she
planned. She comes to realize that maybe everything isn't enough, and
sometimes things are better imperfect.
Nathan's life has been challenging. Maybe that's why he never talks.
Among the others he's just a mystery, the unpredictable boy that hides
what he feels. But underneath it all, he surprises them all by being
the person they never expected, and the person that they'd been looking
for all along.
Matt is the guy that everyone wants to be. He's the class president,
quarterback of the football team, and always the best-looking person
in the room. Not to mention he always has the right thing to say, and
is a music genius. But then he meets the one person that can't stand
anything but ordinary, and shows her what life's about.
When they are brought together, they slowly become what they never wanted. Friends.
