When Sally Jackson gets offered a once in a lifetime job, her life takes a dramatic turn for the better along with her four year old son, Percy, after the horrible realization that she would not be able to support them financially. Percy, along the way, gets a new best friend who happens to be a certain little girl named Piper McLean.
Percy and Piper have been growing up together, moment by moment, day by day, and year by year as best friends, but things begin to change when their relationship turns into a one-sided budding romance. What happens when those feelings aren't returned? What happens when Percy goes missing and loses all memories of Piper?
Now, the son of Poseidon and the daughter of Aphrodite come face to face with new challenges that no human nor demigod should ever have to face, and after many years of being apart, they do it together. Will they finally realize their love for each other while saving the world from a horrible fate, or will they just move along with their lives like all those years that they sent together never happened?
