Ireland was standing in the doorway to the gym, hunched over and dangling. Next to her were two faded silhouettes lying on the floor.
"Ireland? You ok?" I asked her. She slowly gazed up to reveal her eyes had sunken in, and her jaw was unhinged. That's all I saw before she lunged at me.

"What?" she sniffles as I sigh. "Us caring about each other. I'm dragging you into my treacherous world and I can't. You're too pure, too angelic," I feel myself become overwhelmed by my emotions. "What are you saying," she pulls away from me. "No," she shakes her head as I feel my heart slowly breaking. "Blair, I don't know if I can be in your life anymore." "You don't get to make this decision for me," she hisses at me. "It's my life and I get to do whatever I want." "Who... Who are you?" Joe asked in fear as the person switched on the lamp himself "Des?!" Joe shouted in fear as he quickly covered her mouth and wrapped his arm around her stomach then he threw her on the bed as soon as she wanted to stand up he layed down on her without wearing a shirt. "Get off me!...." Joe shouted as he covered her mouth again "She brought out her fangs and bit dip into his palm as he removed his hand "Ouch!" Des shouted as Joe found the opportunity to shout as loud as she could "Help me!!! Devon!....." She shouted and before she could finish he held her mouth again with blood in his hand and which rubbed on her lips He held her even tighter and faced her face to his as he began kissing her neck so roughly and hardly that it made a hickey "Mmm I've longed so much for this you are so tasty" Des said as he roamed his hands around her body and rose up her singlet up to her chest ... ... ... "Did Joe just call my name? " Devon asked himself as he sat down erect on the bed and concentrated deeply into the sound but didn't hear anything so he layed down with his eyes opened. ... ... ... This is a second view point from my original story - A Different Virus - Heartfire. I highly advise reading the original book first. Intro: Laura was a happy child without a care in the world. She loved her parents and life was perfect. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong. People started talking about a bad flu that was spreading and sending some into a coma. Her parents grew worried and stocked the house in case of a pandemic. Months later another virus appeared. Her family was shocked when the news people started reporting that zombies were actually real and not just part of a horror movie. They were appearing in every country. Her parents reassured her that none of the zombie sightings had been anywhere close to them. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent? The bus ride to the retirement home had been uneventful-the low hum of chatter, the occasional burst of laughter, and the rhythmic bumps of the road beneath the tires. Star sat by the window, watching the world blur past, her fingers absentmindedly tapping against her knee. Beside her, Alin leaned in with a smirk. "You look tense," he teased, nudging her shoulder. She rolled her eyes. "I'm fine." From the seat in front of them, Stanley snorted. "She's just nervous because she has to talk to actual people today." Star shot her brother a glare. "Not everyone enjoys socializing as much as you do, Stanley." Alin chuckled, draping an arm lazily over the back of the seat. "Come on, Star. It's just one day with a bunch of sweet old folks. What's the worst that could happen?" She sighed, resting her forehead against the glass. If only they knew. The retirement home loomed at the end of the road, a grand but weathered building with ivy creeping up its stone walls. I stood there leaning against the door for a second. Then screams reached my ear. I looked to where it came from and saw a girl at the other end of the hall laying on the ground with a gaping hole in her stomach. Three other students had ripped away at the girl's insides and were chewing it up. One paused for a second and looked up at me. He stood up and I panicked. I knew him. He was in my chorus class. August was his name. He had blond, curly hair, blue eyes, and was probably the tallest person in the entire school. August opened his now bloody mouth and let out a screech that sent chills down my spine. He leaped over the other two cannibals and the now dead girl and broke into a sprint. As soon as he leaped I had also started running. I made it out of the 300 hall and hid behind the vending machine that stood at the entrance of the hall. Seconds later, August was standing just inches from me. He looked around and I stayed as quiet and still as I possibly could. I didn't even breathe. After what seemed like years of waiting, August turned back toward the dead girl and walked out if sight. I stayed where I was for a little bit longer until my lungs demanded I start breathing again. Directly in front of me was the library and cafeteria. To the right of the cafeteria was the auditorium and the music hall. "If I could just make it to the chorus room maybe I'll find some of my friends," I thought to myself. I was about to take my first step when I looked down at my shoes. They were brand new and when I walked, they squeaked. I took my shoes off as quietly as I could. I had my Captain America socks on and I knew I'd have to take those off as well. I just couldn't risk slipping. Once my feet were bare I took off in a quiet sprint towards the music hall. How awesome is that cover though!? Lol my dad made it.Complete
The Situation
A few snippets so far: I felt naked in front of him. He's stripped me bare, pulled back my flesh, cracked open my rib cage to literally have my heart in his hands. He has the power to finish me off with one forceful squeeze or help hold all the pieces together while I work on mending and healing it. **** I take this time to breathe in the stale peacefulness of the room and wait for my body to properly wake up to get started with another day. My thoughts are soon abruptly stopped when I hear heavy breathing next to me, then I can feel the rise and fall of someone's chest and the heaviness of something wrapped around my torso. The imaginary glue in my eyes disappears as they open in a flash. To my utter disbelief and confusion, I find Harry sleeping...in my bed...with me. What, when how...what in the world is happening?! My internal panic worsens when I realize if he's here he saw the broken glass and blood in the room. FUCKING HELL! "Don't freak out, don't freak out," I talk out loud to myself but it's not fucking working. **** Last fucking chance to tell me I'm wrong and you're not hoeing around then sleep in my bed!" I say as harshly as I can. She doesn't say anything, doesn't even bat an eye at what I said. I pick up her phone on my nightstand and throw it at the closed door and watch her body tense up in anger. Her fists are white from how tightly she is clamping her fingers in her palm and her jaw is clenched. "You said it yourself, we're just friends. Friends don't act jealous like this," she quietly speaks. "I am not jealous; I couldn't give a fuck less. Have nothing to be jealous of." She takes a step back like I hit her, I can see her shattering right in front of me. "You know your way out. Get the fuck out of my apartment now," she walks over to grab her phone that bounced off the wall and walks out, she stops before she closes the door all the way.
