Being raised in Compton and seeing people get shot and killed or people selling drugs on the corner is nothing out if unusual. We have people having babies at fourteen and people dying at twelve. I mean its just ridiculous. I see two or more needles on the ground within every fourth step I take. Trust none of us wished to be born here. If I could I would move in a blink of an eye. I would move into one of those real soft yellow houses with the white picket fences and windmills on the yard. But we both know that's not going to happen. I made sure to lock every window, heading back downstairs I heard a plate drop and a scream. Mom! Mom answer me! Circling into the kitchen I see my mom laid out on the floor blood gushing from her stomach. No mom I scrabbled to grab a towel and placed it hard on her wound. I fumbled my phone a few times before I got it unlocked typing in 9-1-1 I heard someone in the corner say tsk tsk tsk I wouldn't do that.
