Ash's parents were walking down route one when all of a sudden a flock spearow and fearow flew down and started to attack them. Arceus was watching through his all seeing mirror when he heard someone yell out for someone to look after her son. When arceus saw the flock attacking the parents he appeared before them and sent them flying away.
