Prince Alix of Artania is quite the recluse of sorts. Alix has not left the castle since he was very very young. There are rumors in the kingdom as to why they see their King and Queen, but never their prince. Most of these rumors call him spoiled and sheltered, but no one really knows the true reason as to why he stays hidden away.
Now Alix's parents are running into a problem. Alix is special, and not just because he's a Prince. When his life suddenly is in danger, they do not exactly want to tell him and scare him even more over what he is. So they recruit the help of a petty thief named Kevin, who was let off the hook and given a home as a castle servant. Kevin also possesses a gift, which is why they decide to have him closely protect their son.
After there first not-so-pleasant encounter with one another, Kevin and Alix are forced to spend every second of every day with one another. Will they become friends like Alix's parents hope? Can they do even more?
