Abby has been through a lot in her life. With having to deal with the absence of her father and the death of her close friend. She feels absolutely alone and unwanted. But as the school year begins again, she finds herself becoming friends with someone she never thought she would even be near . He wants her to know that she's safe with him and that she can count on him. But she's afraid to open up to him because she knows that in the end, all good things have to come to an end.
