A storm. An old oak tree. A scar. The tale of a hero legend forgot.

*****

King Uther despised every form of magic - Prince Arthur was in love with the witch his father hanged, so when a boy appears in the Pendragon court, bearing the witch's faith and duties, it's both a blessing and a curse.

*****

It was never Ranger's intention to remain long in the court of the Pendragons, but he'd made too much of an impression to escape ever since his first appearance, only weeks after the witch's execution. When he and Arthur hear a heart-stopping prophecy from a monster they set out to kill, strange things arise, and what was once hidden is brought to light as Camelot holds its breath in preparation for war.

If Ranger is not all that he seems, who is he really? And what of the girl he looks so much like?

Maybe some things are better left behind to rot in the darkness...

The Story Of Young Arthur Pendragon And Young Warlock Merlin By: Maker_Wolfie Preview** In the mystical land of Camelot, where magic was both revered and feared, two young souls destined for greatness were brought together by fate. Arthur Pendragon, the heir to the throne of Camelot, was a strong and valiant young man, with golden hair that shone like the sun and eyes as blue as the deepest ocean. He was brave, noble, and determined to follow in the footsteps of his legendary father, King Uther Pendragon, and become a just and honorable ruler. On the other side, Merlin was a mysterious and enigmatic boy, with unruly raven-black hair that seemed to defy gravity and eyes that held a hint of ancient wisdom. Born with the gift of magic, he possessed extraordinary abilities that he had to conceal from the world, for magic was strictly forbidden in the kingdom. Despite his unique powers, Merlin was compassionate and kind-hearted, always using his gifts to help others, even if it meant putting himself in danger. From a young age, both Arthur and Merlin were aware of each other's existence, but it wasn't until they reached their teenage years that their paths truly crossed. They met one fateful day during a bustling festival in the heart of Camelot, where people from all corners of the kingdom had gathered to celebrate the prosperity and unity of their land. Before Arthur Pendragon became King, he was the son of one. The son of Uther Pendragon, a man that exiled all magick from the realm which Britain existed in. Any violation was punishable by death. A public hanging for all citizens bear witness to in order to inflict real fear in their hearts. As a child, Arthur understood and supported such a decision... but once the boy aged to become a man, he soon realizes the horrors his father was involved in to bring about the controversial peace he once sought out. The very peace that was responsible for killing thousands of Druids. Thousands of innocent lives. Arthur has finally grown to an age of true understanding, and has decided that his father's ruling must be brought to an end... a timely death... however the chaos of it all is that he now must seek out a specific druid, one that was born of those his father had killed long ago, in order to assist in his own takeover. And what's even more unfortunate is that while Arthur is betrothed to another woman... Guinevere, a woman of true virtue... he cannot shake the feelings he soon develops for a man. A Druid... a Sorcerer no less. Arthur hadn't expected the man to appear with such good looks, nor such mischief and mayhem that could rock the noble's plans of ruling over Britain as its true King.
