Troye has been passionate about science his whole life. Since before he could remember, the idea that the world around him is separated into particles, into tiny atoms, the idea that the brain releases chemicals to feel certain emotions; it fascinated him.

Tyler is a neurology professor. He is content with his job, but feels as if his life is missing that "special something". He longs for action, for adventure.. for love.

When the chance to take part in a prestigious scientific experiment involving the way the brain releases chemicals arises, both of them jump at the chance. A simulated world allows them to connect, to explore every aspect of their brains they ever wanted to. But is this chance more dangerous than they thought?
