"Everyone expects me to be superman, well guess what I'm not made of steel!" Another sob escaped him and he was hysterical. "So many people are going to die and there is nothing I can do to save them!" I simply watched on in stunned silence, my mind slowly beginning to connect the dots I idly noted the window panes had begun to shake and the books had started spinning.
Some things a 14 year old boy can handle, and somethings? He cannot.

6 Months-a Spromeo Story
Romeo sat patiently, holding onto Specs' hand tightly. He watched the doctor's every step, nervousness set on his heart. "Hey, Doc", Specs greeted, trying to offer a smile. He looked better than Hell. "What'd you find?" Romeo wasn't sure Specs could see it, noting he couldn't see anything without his glasses on-he talked about having a headache earlier, and took them off for that reason-but the doctor had a rather solemn look on her face, as if she just learned that someone was going to die. Romeo prayed. "Doc?" "You're results came back", she sighed, keeping it brief. Romeo wanted to yell at her, telling her how he knew the results came back, but he was on the edge of his seat in fear. "I have some news." "What's he got?" Romeo sniffled, trying to keep in his tears and not think of the worse. "Pneumonia?" Specs had had pneumonia before, when he was a kid. He told the story all the time, and Romeo knew it made him feel strong. He'd always say he could beat anything, but Romeo also knew it wasn't that simple. "A few respiratory infections, yes", the doctor agreed, glancing back at her chart. That was fine. Specs could take antibiotics for it and be good as new. "But there's something else. Your white blood cell count was low." Romeo glanced at Specs, worried out of his mind. He knew it. He saw every sign and didn't do shit about it; it's his fault. He should've forced Specs to get checked out. He should've done better. "Cancer?" That seemed to be the worse option. Yet, the doctor shook her head. "Worse, perhaps." What happens if chemical warfare kills all but those under the age of 18 and the immortals? Then think what would happen if the chemical bombs cause some to develop powers such as telekinesis. But, others are not so lucky. Sure, they all survive, but some purely become what is commonly known as 'The Things' as they act on nothing more or less than pure animal instinct. All around the world people fractionalize to local 'territories'. Territory 14- based in Birmingham, England- is one of thirteen territories based around the world. Although all are different, both culturally and with the distribution of wealth, there is one thing they all have in common: they sure as hell don't trust each other. And, as people turn on each other Cindy and Adam realise that maybe the war they were fighting was not as clear cut as they previously thought. Coming across 14-year-old Juan, a Chinese operative from Territory 8, they realise that the other side are just the same as them. But, this realisation comes at a cost as they are rejected from their warehouse, which is in the centre of the territory's operations, and become the focus of a man hunt in the place they once felt safe. On a mission to solve the mystery of Ralph's schemes and on the run in Territory 14 Cindy and Adam are in for a whole world of trials and tribulations- and the odds just keep stacking against them. "Stop, stay b-back," I try to say confidently but I can't even breath right. Realizing he won't listen I start to turn around planning to make a break for it. He thinks the secrets are hurting Seb, not just mentally, but physically, too. Seb is brave and will probably refuse "Seb, honey, you can't just brush off stuff like this," Carlos corrects me.
