Life isn't easy; so why does everyone keep telling Annalise Puckett that? Annalise knows life isn't easy, and it's even harder when people call her whore, slut, ugly, anorexic. Annalise has had enough of school, of her parents, of her life. She's so fucking tired, and the only way she sees out is suicide. She begins to write a note, one that her parents find before she's done. Her parents send her to a school for deliquents, thinking she's just trying to get attention. Annalise doesn't deserve to be sent to a school, where the kids have killed people.
Kai Parker goes through life like he has more than one. He took part in raping a girl at fifteen; all he did was spike her drink. His parents get tired of him, right after they learn of him spiking another fifteen year old's drink. He's been at this deliquent school for two years; and has hated every minute.
Annalise shows up, the first thing Kai realizes is this girl is the girl's drink he spiked in 9th grade. Kai realizes Annalise doesn't recognize him, and stays to herself. Immediately after class, she rushes to her dorm and doesn't come to dinner. He wants to get to know her; and maybe just save her.
