It has been over 1,000 years since Arthur died and Merlin is still around. He's tired, a little jaded, and forfeited himself to being a burnout for the past few decades, tired of just... being. What happens when Leon insists he comes back home with the claim that he knows something Merlin doesn't.
But also, what happened in those 1,000 plus year? What did Merlin and Leon do, what did they witness?
(Leon is also immortal in this story since he drank from the cup of life and Merlin deserves at least one friend)

Death seemed to like to toy with him. Even after all this time, he ended up dying. And that at the age of 19. Each time it was because of the same reason....getting rejected by his soulmate. By the person he loved, and that was painful. Each time he died soon afterward. Death gave him a 'game', in which when his soulmate falls in love he and his soulmate will live.
