When her dad left on her thirteenth birthday, Fallon Wright swore to never speak to her father ever again, nor would she ever fall in love. But during the summer before college—and her eighteenth birthday—her father invites her to join them for the summer. Of course her mother urges her to go and reconnect with her father but Fallon’s less than excited to even leave the house. Enter Foster Reynolds—quiet, honest, and never spares a second glance at any girl who attempts to charm him. He’s the type of boy girls trip over themselves to impress. What girl doesn’t want to claim they made their way into the unattainable guy’s heart? When the two meet in the most unexpected way, Fallon can’t help but feel as if maybe she will have someone to speak with during the summer. Soon, she spends less time with her father and his pretentious new wife, instead sneaking out to see Foster. As the two connect more and more, she begins to feel different about him. Could it be possible that Fallon not only broke her oath of staying out of contact with her father, but also of never finding love?
