Kiara Simmons is a high-spirited teenage girl. She is a bundle of joy and her life is the definition of a happy life. She's ambitious, good hearted, loving and respectful. She doesn't care about material things. You would think she has everything any girl could ask for, but no. Kiara is a teenage girl who has no parents, no relatives except her 12 year old sister Tamera. She strives to take care of her sister and to give her a happy life.
Meet Jake Havens. The richest and most good looking guy in Pinesville. He has everything he could get. He drives the latest cars, lives in a big mansion and has girls fainting for him. Everyone judges him based on the outside, but little do they know that he is just a depressed guy who puts on fake smiles and cries at night.

Throughout the story, Aiden struggles to move on through each day, as days turn into night and night into day, he finds himself growing colder towards his father. Who is the towns hero practically. everybody loves the star football coach, Josh Phillips. Things aren't what they seem behind doors though, their father tends to be abusive. Verbal and physical. Aiden can choose to live with his mom but chooses not to because he wants to protect his brother who can't choose yet. As Aiden dives deeper into his fathers unknown past, he uncovers more and more details about his father's past. As he continues to dive deeper, the tension grows heavier. Through out the story, Aiden finds himself digging through old journals, trying to remember certain things. Kiara was really depressed before she met Cassandra. She had been bullied and picked on since as long as she can remember. There wasn't even a reason for it and that makes it much worse. After a few years of good friendship, Kiara realized her love for Cassandra took a different turn, she started to have feelings and soon after, she and Cassandra got into a relationship. Life was good. Too good. After graduation, something really really terrible happened. Cassandra got into a car accident. It was really bad. She got into a really bad coma. Now it's three years later and she's still fast asleep. Kiara's life has been on pause ever since. Until- Kiara also got into an accident. Not that kind of accident though..
