This is not a chippy happy go-lucky story about a girl meeting a boy, they fall in love, have one fight, and get married.  It's a story that is sensible.  Let's face it- you can't find "the one" in a matter of days after meeting a person.  Romeo and Juliette was a story. Just a story.  
This is the story of Sammantha Carter.  A small girl in the small town of Chelsea (pronounced Chel-c) Oklahoma.  She grows up. Gets hurt. Falls in and out of love.  Has problems that real people get.  Her life is no perfect.  She doesn't have everything she wants or is popular.  But she is real.  Her friends are real.
