God, save me.. please.

But it’s far too late, the door has opened I have been found and the dark, fearful contraption of a gun is pointed straight at me. The man is dressed purely in black his build and muscles apparent through the dark uniform, his face hidden by a balaclava mask. An eye pressed against the eyepiece of the gun whilst the other is tightly shut, all concentration going through his right eye.

Slowly he lifted his head away from the firearm and the two bright green pools of colour look right at me. An emotion runs through them, but, it goes as quickly as it came, making me question whether or not there was anything really even there. Both of us remain still in our positions, his eye’s remain fixed on mine whilst mine don’t dare move from his. I know he can sense my fear, and that is enough reason for my tears to fall more freely.

The silence interrupted by the sound of the other soldier. I accepted there and then, that these were to be my final moments on earth.
