What inspires us? Is it love or friendship? Or is it the pain that we feel? What gives us that rush to write down a piece of text; or draw; or write a melody? What makes that so god damn beautiful?
Many of these pieces of text are based of true events that have occurred to me or someone in my life. Things I've learned from pain, heartache, the war I'm still fighting, betrayal, love, friendship, strength, loss, grief, joy, confidence. They are personal to me and events in my life.

Greetings dear readers! This is my first ever poems book. And um I wrote these all based on my personal experiences. As you may journey through chapters of this book based on my life and events throughout. A little sprinkle of the chapters are fictional but nearly all are non-fiction straight from reality. Hopefully you will love this journey with me. Few of these poems are dedicated to my friends or based on their experiences/point of view. Most poems may contain heartbreak or sad feelings but still the majority of the poems are about love, happiness and positivity. I am so glad that I am in a better place now, looking back on my life just a while ago I was not the person I am today. With the help of people I love the most I have overcome everything I needed to dodge. My collection of poems in the past three years which leads to character development. Realistic incidents, illusionary love, hardships, it's quite a journey. Some say I'm unique and some say I'm Raw. Some say my work is relatable and some feel they can relate. That's crazy though, makes me want to be heard. I was quiet as feathers basically my whole life, closed up, antisocial, lost. Until I started writing. Although, I didn't open my mouth, I was even louder than before. Excuse me, I am louder!

I put on a show only for him in front of hundreds of people. I bring one hand up to my hair flicking them to the other side, trailing that hand down to my sternum and then my boob as I keep swaying my hips from to side, bending my knees as I lower myself a bit to the ground before sharply standing up again and slowly spinning around, circling my hips. I run my hands through the back of my hair before nailing my gaze on his eyes, slowly walking up to him. I watch him as he wets his lips before biting his plumb bottom one, eyes trailing up my body. Once I reach him, I wrap my arms around his neck and run my fingers through his hair as I press my body up against his. His hands shoot out to grab me from my lower waist, pulling me even closer to him as he pushes a leg between mine, staring into my eyes. I turn my head to the side and brush my lips against his ear before licking and biting his earlobe the same way I did at the party before whispering a few words he was dying to hear. "Take me back to your place." ---------- Theo is a 20-year-old university student with a bad temper. Letting go of the past can be a difficult thing to do but a much-needed one to move on. Love is his greatest fear, something that's so beautiful yet can be so painful at times. Can you love someone even if you fear that feeling? Daisy is a 20-year-old university student with bad romance luck so far. An ugly breakup can put you off love or it can make you more determined to find the real deal. Getting recently out of a toxic relationship, a new one is the last thing she's looking for. Can you love someone that doesn't allow themselves to be loved? A romance filled with drama, passion and love.

What does it mean to be broken? (I wrote this poem myself) ______________________________ Why be sad? When no one knows how bad You feel your Pain makes you sore. Why be mad? When no one can tell How hard you fell How it hurts MORE than a tad. Why be happy? Be like all those sappy People pretending to be What they want you to see. Why be frightened? Senses heightened Screaming, As sick people are beaming. Why be tired? When no one knows How your wired How you grow. Why be honest? When all known is a broken promise When no one believes you Even if what you say is true. Why hurt? When no one feels your pain When no one's ever alert When you never feel sane. Why pretend? When you know in the end No one will be there Because no one cares. Why care? When no one cares enough for you To know what your going through They think your heart is unfair. Why try? When no one sees that you do They just pry Thinking they know more than you. Why speak? When no one will ever hear They'll say you're a freak They don't see a single tear. Why do anything at all? It's not like anyone will see If you fall If you scream. ____________________________________ "Just admit it Winter. After the whole accident....your broken." "No...No that's where your wrong. I'm not broken. Because to be broken, you had to have been whole in the first place."

Promiscuity is addictive. It's so safe. You are not at risk of getting hurt, physically maybe , But emotionally ? No And the emotional pain is by far the worst. I know this because I've experienced both. Physical pain, from my alcoholic father, sexual abuse from his friends. It hurt, it really did. I have scars to show. But let me tell you, the worst type of hurt is the emotional pain. That pain you get when after years of building a wall around yourself, you FINALLY let someone in. You let that one special person in. You bring down your walls. You give your heart. You let him hold your heart in his palms even though you know the risks. You have so many dreams and fantasies about being with this person forever. And he leads you on. It feels good But then he turns around and crushes your heart. He squeezes the life out of it and you feel pain that you never thought was humanly possible. You feel so much pain you can't breathe. And then , you become cold. You stop feeling. You have no heart anymore. You become heartless, promiscuous, bad, really bad. Yes , that happened to me. Ben did that to me. It hurt. It hurt too much. But now I'm safe . Because I'm the bad girl. The one who doesn't have a heart left to be broken.

Or the other one where the brooding bad boy with a tragic past gets a second chance to become a happy, well-adjusted person again. All thanks to the love of an awesomely perfect popularity princess with a pure heart of gold. Who sees "something special" inside him, that no one else can see ...and sets him on a straight path. All that once in a lifetime fairy dust love, that only exists for perfect pretty popularity princesses in the happily ever after. No, this is the other kind of love story ...the messy kind, that messes peoples lives up irrevocably, for all time. The real kind of love story, that comes hand in hand with hopes and fears, and all that real hurt that burns at your heart.
